چکیده
This study characterized and evaluated the potential of a combination treatment strategies for removal phenolic compounds, color, ecotoxicity an effluent generated by laminated wood industry. The characterization sample pine lamination process collected in industry Southwest region state Paraná confirmed impact effluent, with emphasis on high content compounds (1,530 ±50 mg/L), color (2,159 ±30 units), significant acute toxicity (63% mortality microcrustaceans Artemia salina) low biodegradability (BOD/COD=0.53), which, if eventually released into receiving bodies, can cause irreversible harmful effects to aquatic microbiota. processes studied this work involved catalytic ozonation mediated ferrous material based steel scale biological Pleurotus Florida fungi, individual way sequentially integrated as follows: Catalytic ozonation>>biological vice-versa. best results were obtained applying sequence "catalytic process", which resulted reductions 96.2% soluble lignin concentrations, 93.3% units more than 99% reduction total phenols, addition rate A. salina (≈10%). In process, application before presents greater advantages because pre-decomposition recalcitrant chemical action ozonation, convert these biodegradable, facilitating remediation effluent.

In any type of rubber product manufacturing (including tires), the primary concerns are environmental. The aim of the present study was to survey a treatment combination of ozonation and physicochemical processes in the rubber industry. Wastewater samples were collected from the discharge unit of the rubber processing sewage system in Kerman Barez Tire Factory, Kerman, Iran. The wastewater samp...
متن کاملIsolation and Characterization of Various Fungal Strains from Textile Effluent for Their Use in Bioremediation
Bioremediation is an inexpensive mean to remove hazardous metal ions from the contaminated effluent. Effluent from the local textile industry was characterized for the incidence of fungal strains and its physiochemical properties were investigated. Sampling was done spanning a distance of five km from the effluent’s discharge point. Effluent was analyzed and highest colony forming units per mL ...
